This quote seems to largely be attributed to F. Scott Fitzgerald and I’m perfectly comfortable with this.

I’ve had this quote saved for years. It’s a really beautiful way of looking at the other side of the “none of us are original” argument, which I think focuses too much on the presupposition that we should be original, and by not being original were somehow not experiencing life as we should be. Instead, we belong. We aren’t islands. We can recognize ourselves in one another. And that’s beautiful.
