
Growing up, my favourite food wasn’t a particular food but rather, an approach to dining where you plate small portions of a bunch of foods. A few heads of broccoli, a hamburger patty, some ketchup, little bit of rice, pickles, olives, etc. anything you have in your kitchen works. And you make a meal of it. We had this a lot growing up, especially when we were sick and didn’t have much of an appetite. I don’t know what it was about this type of setup but we never failed to finish the whole plate, no matter how much we insisted we weren’t hungry.
